Web Services are programmes on a website which can be activated, analysed and checked for information by other programmes. The query ‘search for the subject «biochemistry» in the database’ will be understood by the online service, no matter where it comes from, as long as it has a full-text search. As a result of this query, all data records which contain the search term will be provided as XML data. These XML data have a distinct format, and can be selected and presented. That way, data can be displayed on a website or being read by an online service-compatible merchandise management system.

Title Data & Design

Our online service allows all providers transparent data integration into their own website. Hereby it is possible to e.g. control the display of detailed online subject searches. Data is being transmitted in XML format from server to server and can easily be displayed in any design.
Instead of the usual linking to an external service provider, subject searches can be set up comfortably through an online administration interface. The customer’s corporate design is completely preserved. The data is displayed transparently, within the design of the existing website.
Our editorial team screens the incoming data, compiles bibliographies and classifies all titles. Titles are also being enriched with information texts and additional information in PDF format, e.g. table of contents, reviews, preface, excerpts etc.

Subject Codes
Creation of individual title lists by subject code search. Refined search results supported through filters like e.g. publisher, type of publication, publication date.
