RSS Feed for Specialist Titles

NBK-0914-Icons-(work-01a)-ENG-06We offer our partner publishers a custom-made RSS 2.0 feed for keeping their direct customers up-to-date on new specialist titles.

1. Definition of Criteria

The NEWBOOKS classification with up to 2000 subjects is available as a basis for configuring areas of interest for regular customers.
All filter options of our database to further narrow down search results are available via a service manager:

  • Subjects (choice of approx. 2000 subject areas)
  • Publisher's imprints
  • Type of publication (e.g. monograph, festschrift, proceedings etc.)
  • Publication language (e.g. 'only English titles')
  • Media type (e.g. mixed media, E-Books, CD-ROM etc.)

n titles are supplied with the latest system access date. The number of titles can be specified in advance by the respective publisher. The predefined number of titles is delivered by RSS feed on a daily basis.

2. Template

A template of our partner publisher is provided for producing the RSS feed. The template is held in the corporate design of the respective publisher and is providing e.g. a link leading to the detailed display of a specific title.

4. Statistics & Administration

For evaluation purposes information is stored on how many feeds were supplied per day. This information can be looked at via a report.
A handbook and online administration interface are available for managing the service for publisher's direct customers.
